In the morning, take a relaxing dip in the Har Ki Pouri Ghat, a revered bathing ghat on the banks of the Ganges. Visit Mansa Devi Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa. Explore the Chandi Devi Temple, another sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Chandi and enjoy the scenic view from atop the nearby hills.
Head to Lansdowne. Explore the quaint city at your own pace (e.g. Yoga Sessions, Local markets) in the evening.
Explore the Bhulla Lake, a serene man-made lake surrounded by tall pine trees and enjoy boating. Visit the War Memorial Museum, a museum dedicated to the Garhwal Rifles. Hike to Tiffin Top, a famous peak offering breathtaking scenic views.
Head back to Rishikesh. Visit the Beatles Ashram, where the famous Beatles band stayed in 1968. Enjoy gazing at the Ganga Arti in the evening on the banks of the Ganges, a spiritual event where devotees offer lamps to the Ganges.
If you have more time, you could visit the Rajaji National Park, a tiger reserve known for its biodiversity rich flora and fauna. It's a 3-hour drive from Rishikesh. If you have one less day, consider removing Day 2 and spending more time in Rishikesh. NOTE: Plan your trip in advance as some places may be closed due to religious festivals in India.
