Next, head to Shiva Temple for an immersive, spiritual experience. Take a stroll at Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, one of the smallest bird sanctuaries in India, and spot endangered bird species. End the day at Lulu Mall, India's largest shopping mall for some retail therapy and international cuisine.
If you have more time, take a ferry ride to Vypin Island for a peaceful day at the beach. A visit to the Bolgatty Palace is also recommended for its charm and history. For a more cultural experience, attend a Kathakali performance (₹250-400), a traditional dance-drama that depicts Hindu epics. If you have less time, skip the Ernakulam leg of the trip.
