There are also beautiful gardens and fountains in the fort premises that provide ample opportunities for photography and family fun.
Amirthi Zoological Park is a popular destination located in the Vellore district. It is a perfect place for families with kids to spend a day. The park is set against a picturesque backdrop of hills and has many species of animals such as peacocks, deer, crocodiles, and monkeys. The park also features a children's play area, musical fountain, and nature trail among others.
If you have more time, you can visit the Sripuram Golden Temple, located 15 minutes away from Vellore Fort. If you have less time, consider visiting Jalakandapuram - a small town located 35 minutes from Vellore Fort which has the Jalakandeswarar Temple and many small shops selling local handicrafts.
