Drive through the winding mountain roads to the Queen of Hill Stations - Mussoorie. You can visit the Kempty Falls, an idyllic picnic spot, and the Mussoorie Lake en route.
Enjoy the cool climate and breathtaking views of the valley. Take a ride on the cable car to Gun Hill, the second-highest peak in Mussoorie. Stroll along the famous promenade, The Mall Road, and shop for souvenirs.
Head to the holy city of Rishikesh and explore the famous landmarks such as the Laxman Jhula, Trayambakeshwar Temple, and Beatles Ashram (now known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram). Later in the day, drive to the world-renowned Jim Corbett National Park for an overnight stay amidst wild nature.
Embark on a guided jeep safari in the park to spot tigers, leopards and Asiatic elephants. Afterwards, drive to the serene hill station of Nainital. Take a walk along the Mall Road and indulge in local food and souvenirs.
Experience the stunning beauty of the Himalayan foothills at Naini Lake, where you can go boating or enjoy panoramic views from the surrounding hills. Visit the Naina Devi Temple, a sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Sati, wife of Lord Shiva. Explore abundant flora and fauna of the region at Sattal and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary.
End the trip on a relaxed note, taking a drive back to Delhi.
If you have more time, you can add a day or two in Rishikesh, where you can also try river rafting and bungee jumping. If you have less time, consider cutting short your stay in Nainital or forgoing some of its attractions, as there is overlap in the offerings of Mussoorie and Nainital. Finally, be sure to carry warm clothes, as the hill stations can get chilly during the night.
