Four Days in Tblisi Itinerary

  • Day 1: Old Town Tblisi

  • Day 4: Wine Tasting in the Countryside

    Start your morning with a visit to the Chateau Mukhrani Winery, a beautiful winery that offers tours and tastings. Transportation

Getting around Tbilisi is relatively easy, as there are buses and a metro system that operate throughout the city. Taxis are also available, but it's important to negotiate a price before getting in to avoid being overcharged. For day trips to Mtskheta and the Kakheti Wine Region, it's best to hire a car or take a guided tour. Expect to pay around 150-300 GEL (£30-60) per day for car rental and around 50-100 GEL (£10-20) per person for guided tours.

Useful Tips

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Sulfur Baths in Old Town for a unique experience. For those with less time, consider skipping the day trip to Mtskheta and spending more time exploring Tbilisi. Keep in mind that the summer months (June-August) can be very hot, so plan accordingly.

Airports

Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) is the main airport in the city, located approximately 18 km southeast of the city centre. It serves both domestic and international flights and is easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Expect to pay around 30-50 GEL (£6-10) for a taxi from the airport to the city centre.
