Experience spectacular views of the majestic Tatra Mountains by visiting Tatra National Park. The park offers several well-marked hiking trails, from easy to difficult. Don't miss the famous Morskie Oko, a crystal-clear glacial lake surrounded by mountains. Additionally, the park is home to unique wildlife such as marmots and chamois. Plan to spend at least half a day here to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Take a funicular up to Gubałówka and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Tatras, Zakopane, and the surrounding countryside. Once at the top, you can enjoy a leisurely walk, savor regional delicacies at one of the restaurants or cafes, and buy souvenirs from the local vendors. You can also take a thrilling zip line ride that will give you an adrenaline rush and allow you to see the area from a completely different perspective.
Zakopane has more natural attractions to offer than can be experienced in a two-day itinerary. If you have more time, we recommend exploring the nearby Chochołowska Valley, exploring the unique wooden architecture in the town center, and enjoying traditional highlander cuisine. If you have less time, you can consider visiting the nearby skiing resort for a different experience. Keep in mind that the weather in Zakopane can be unpredictable, so make sure you are prepared for all conditions.
