Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, perfect for trekking enthusiasts. The trek starts from Sarpadari and takes around 2-3 hours to reach the summit, offering breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. Even though the trek is steep, the trail is well marked, and there are plenty of rest stops along the way. You can also enjoy a cup of piping hot coffee from the local shops once you reach the top. Remember to carry warm clothes and a raincoat if necessary.
The Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for nature lovers. The sanctuary is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, and other animals, and the best way to explore it is by taking a jungle safari. You can also go on nature walks, bird watching, and visit the Kallahathigiri Hill. The sanctuary also has a watchtower that offers stunning views of the area. Remember to book your safari at least a day in advance and carry a camera and binoculars.
