Start your trip with a gastronomic adventure at Wayanad Spice Trail. Learn about the spices that define the flavors of the southern Indian cuisine. It's a beautiful setting with lush green jungles surrounding the spice garden. After the guided tour, head to Hotel Woodlands for a traditional Kerala lunch. The place is known for its lip-smacking biryanis and rich curries infused with Wayanad’s spices.
Start your day with a tour of Wayanad Coffee Trail. Here, you'll get to witness the making of one of India's top coffee varieties, the Robusta. You'll also learn about the unique crop-pollination techniques. Stock up on some freshly roasted coffee, and then travel six minutes to the highly recommended The Bungalow Restaurant. The place serves Kerala-style breakfast with a variety of idlis and appams. Do not forget to wash everything down with a cup of Wayanad's finest coffee!
Wake up a bit earlier this day for a visit to Haritham Organic Farm. Spread across a vast area, this farm cultivates anything from organic fruits to herbs, vegetables, and medicinal plants. Take the guided tour and finish the trip with a freshly prepared organic juice. Now, set out for the next stop, a 19-minute ride to the newly opened Wayanad Winery. The vineyard offers some exciting wine tasting sessions that you must not miss. Choose from the indigenous and exclusive wine varietals and satiate your tastebuds with their cheese platter.
End your trip in a sweet note with a visit to Vanilla De'Ville. The boutique chocolate factory located amidst the hills offers indulgent handmade chocolates of over 40 flavors. You'll be spoilt for choice. The next stop is just eight minutes from here - The Kallissery, a farm-to-table restaurant that specializes in using locally grown and procured ingredients. The restaurant also has its own farm, so you can expect only fresh and seasonal produce on your plate. Try their Kalukki kaalan (a traditional Kerala dish made from local plantain) with the rice of the day.
If you have more time, visit the Kuruva Island for an eco-friendly bamboo rafting experience or explore the Banasura Hill, housing some of the most stunning views of the region. For those with less time, skip the farm visit on Day 3.
