Start your trip off with an adventure at Chembra Peak. Towering at 2,100 metres, it's the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek isn't easy, but the views from the top are worth it. Pack some snacks, water, and a camera.
The Edakkal Caves are a unique historical site. The caves are said to have been formed over thousands of years and are full of pictorial paintings. You'll want to make sure to bring a flashlight.
Get up close with the flora and fauna of Wayanad at the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. Take a guided tour through the sanctuary and spot animals like elephants, deer, and tigers.
End your trip with a scenic visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam. Take a boat ride and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills. You can also trek to the nearby hills for an elevated view of the dam and reservoir.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the Chain Tree near Lakkidi or the Neelimala Viewpoint in Vaduvanchal. If you have less time, skip the trip to the Edakkal Caves. They require a bit of a hike and might not be ideal for those who are pressed for time.
