Head to the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, and witness the vast diversity of avian species in the region. The sanctuary is home to a variety of migratory birds including Terns, Sand pipers, and Gulls. Visitors aren’t allowed to enter the sanctuary during the bird's breeding season from December to April.
Try the local cuisine at Sagar Restaurant. This restaurant is known for its delicious seafood, especially the spicy mussels fry, and the Malabar biriyani is a must-try.
Head to the Kozhippara Falls, nestled in the heart of the Western Ghats. The falls are situated in a scenic location and the trek up to the falls is quite beautiful. Visitors can take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls and relax amidst the lush greenery.
End the day on a relaxed note at Kozhikode Beach. The beach is ideal for evening walks and is dotted with several street food vendors offering local delicacies.
For those with extra time, visit the Thusharagiri Falls also located in the Western Ghats. For those with less time, skip the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, and head straight to the falls area. Ensure to carry water bottles and snacks on the trip to the falls area, as there are no food establishments nearby.
