Begin your trip in Ooty, one of India's most popular hill stations. Start the day with a visit to the Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri mountain range. Enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding hills from the observation tower. Then, head to Ooty Lake, located in the heart of the town. You can take a boat ride around the lake or enjoy a picnic by the shore. Finally, visit the Botanical Gardens, known for their variety of flowers and trees.
On day two, drive to Masinagudi, a small town located at the foothills of the Nilgiris. Start your day with a jungle safari at the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot various wild animals like tigers, elephants, and deer in their natural habitat. Later, visit the Theppakadu Elephant Camp, where you can watch elephants up close and take an elephant ride through the jungle. End the day with a visit to the Pykara Waterfalls and enjoy the scenic beauty of the cascading waterfall.
On day three, drive to Wayanad, a district in the northeastern region of Kerala. Start your day with a visit to the Edakkal Caves, a series of ancient caves with inscriptions and carvings. Then, visit the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad, and go on a trek to the top. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding hills from the top. Finally, visit the Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, and spend some time in the water.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Bandipur National Park near Masinagudi or go on a tea plantation tour in Ooty. If you have less time, you can skip the elephant camp in Masinagudi or the Edakkal Caves in Wayanad.
