Most of the attractions on this itinerary are within 30 minutes to an hour's drive from each other. Public transport is available but can be hectic and uncomfortable. Private taxis are also available but more expensive. Another option for moving around is a car rental. Expect to spend around 3000 KES for a day's rental including fuel.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Shimba Hills National Reserve, the Tamarind Dhow, or the Gedi Ruins.

Moi International Airport - Mombasa (MBA) is the only airport serving the Mombasa area. It is located 10.6 miles (17km) northwest of Mombasa's city center. Taxis are available outside the airport, and the ride to the city center will take around 25-30 minutes, cost approximately 2000 KES, depending on traffic. Public transport is also available at a cheaper cost.
