Begin your trip with an adventurous trek to the beautiful Mullayanagiri peak, which is the highest peak in Karnataka. You can also trek to Baba Budangiri, a range of peaks named after the Muslim saint Baba Budan, known for his contributions to the spread of coffee in India. The drive up offers a panoramic view of the Western Ghats.
Start your day by visiting the coffee plantations in the hills. You can take guided tours to learn about the process of coffee making. Next, hike through the lush forests to experience the beauty of Hebbe Falls. The falls are split into two stages with the first being the bigger one. Don't forget to take plenty of photos amid the natural beauty.
On this last day, you can visit two protected wildlife areas. Start with a nature walk in Kudremukh National Park to experience the beauty of the landscapes and diverse array of animals, including tigers, leopards, and mongoose. Next, visit Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, which is famous for its tigers, Indian elephants, wild boars and various bird species.
If you have more time, you can visit more coffee plantations and also explore the local markets for some authentic souvenirs. Alternatively, if you have less time, reduce your itinerary by omitting one of the wildlife sanctuaries or coffee plantations.
