Start your day at Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. Take a 3 km trek to the summit and witness panoramic views of the mountains and lush greenery. Bring your cameras to capture the scenic beauty of nature. Take a break and enjoy tea and snacks at the small shops located on the peak. Don't forget to carry your warm clothes as temperatures can drop at the top of the peak.
Immerse yourself in nature by visiting Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary which spans over 490 sq km of lush green forests, magnificent cascading waterfalls and picturesque trekking paths. Embark on an early morning jeep safari and experience wildlife species such as elephants, leopards and tigers going about their day in their natural habitat. You can also go trekking to the nearby Kudremukh National Park from here. End your day by indulging in some authentic Mallandur cuisine at the nearby restaurants.
If you have more time, you can visit the coffee plantations and explore some of the nearby sightseeing attractions like Jhari Falls, the Sharada Temple and the nearby hill station at Kemmanugundi. For those with less time, consider skipping the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary and instead visit the Baba Budangiri hills which offer trekking trails and scenic views.
