3-Day Itinerary for Dandeli

  1. Day 1: Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary
    10 minutes (3.7 KM) from City Centre

    Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 834.16 sq km and is home to a wide range of flora and fauna. Take a safari tour to see big cats, elephants, gaur, and other animals in their natural habitat. The sanctuary is also popular for bird watching, trekking and camping. Don't miss the Crocodile Park and the Nature Interpretation Centre.

  2. Day 2: Syntheri Rock
    30 minutes (20.9 KM) from Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary

    Syntheri Rocks is a stunning geological formation situated in the midst of a dense forest. The rocks are formed due to volcanic eruption and subsequent water and wind erosion. Trek down to the bottom of the rocks to see a breathtaking waterfall. Swimming is not allowed due to strong currents. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.

  3. Day 3: Kali River
    30 minutes (12.6 KM) from Syntheri Rock

    Kali River is perfect for adventure enthusiasts. Go rafting, kayaking, or river crossing in the river which has rapids ranging from grade 3 to grade 4. Experienced instructors and safety gear are provided. You can also go for a coracle ride or just enjoy the serene beauty of the river from the banks.

Useful Tips

If you have extra time, add a visit to Ulavi Channabasaveshwara Temple, Supa Dam, or Moulangi Eco Park. If you have less time, skip Kali River or opt for a shorter coracle ride instead.
