Start your nature itinerary at Pagoda Point, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Salem district. Pagoda Point is also known as Pyramid Point because of the four piles of stones that form a pyramid-like structure. Take a stroll along the garden and click some amazing pictures of the view and its surrounding natural beauty. You can buy small trinkets and souvenirs sold by the local villagers. Pagoda Point is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Next, visit the Kiliyur Falls, which is a beautiful waterfall located in a deep valley. You'll have to trek down around 200+ steps to reach the waterfall, but it's worth it! The water gushing down and the greenery surrounding it will provide you with a picturesque view. The falls are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that the falls will be closed during the monsoon season (June to September).
Start your second day at the Yercaud Lake, which is a man-made lake surrounded by lush green trees and gardens. You can opt for boating in the lake or relax with a cup of coffee at one of the many cafes overlooking the lake. The lake and the garden is open to visitors from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Continue your journey with a visit to Lady's Seat, a famous viewpoint that offers a fantastic view over the winding ghat road and the town of Salem. The viewpoint is surrounded by tall trees and local vendors who sell souvenir items. If you happen to be there in the evening, you can witness a beautiful sunset. Lady's Seat opens at 8:00 AM and closes around 5:30 PM.
If you have more time, you can visit Shevroy Temple, Bear's Cave, Botanical Garden, or Anna Park. If you have less time, you can skip Kiliyur Falls or Lady's Seat. Remember to carry warm clothing if you're visiting during the winter months (November-February).
