3-Day Nature Itinerary in Konaseema

  1. Day 1: Visit Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour (35 km) from Rajahmundry

    Explore the Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary, situated at the confluence of the Godavari and Bay of Bengal. Home to over 120 species of birds, including pelicans, kingfishers and mudflats, you can take a boat ride along the creeks to watch birds up close. You might spot some rare estuarine crocodiles basking in the sun on the banks of the creeks. You can also trek around the mangrove forest and see the natural habitat of the region.

  2. Day 2: Relax at Uppada Beach
    45 minutes (25 km) from Kakinada Port Station

    Head to the Uppada Beach, a lesser-known coastal spot with serene waters and stunning golden sands. Enjoy the view of the Bay of Bengal and the cool breeze while you swim, surf or sunbathe. The drive to the beach is through beautiful paddy fields and coconut groves that offer a sense of tranquillity and calmness.

  3. Day 3: Explore Hope Island
    1 hour and 15 minutes (44 km) from Amalapuram town

    Take a ferry from Kakinada port to reach Hope Island, one of the most popular tourist spots in Konaseema. This uninhabited island is known for its natural beauty, with calm waters and stunning beaches. Take a guide for a nature walk around the island, and you might spot rare species of birds, sea turtles and even dolphins. Snorkelling or scuba diving are other popular activities on this remote island.
