Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for nature lovers. Spread over 500 square kilometres, the sanctuary boasts of lush forests, waterfalls and a variety of flora and fauna. Take a jeep safari or a coracle ride to explore the park. Keep an eye out for elephants, tigers, leopards and other wildlife. If you're lucky, you might spot some rare birds as well.
Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its incredible biodiversity. Home to elephants, tigers, leopards, sambars, spotted deer and over 200 species of birds, the sanctuary is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The sanctuary is also famous for the iruppu falls, a beautiful waterfall that's perfect for a refreshing dip. The best way to explore the sanctuary is via a jeep safari.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Nagarhole National Park, which is a short distance from Kabini. If you have less time, skip the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary and spend an additional day at Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary. Make sure to carry insect repellent and sunscreen. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, preferably in muted colours. Avoid loud noises and follow the instructions of your guide at all times.
