Exploring Danok in 3 Days

  1. Day 1: Strolling Around Central Danok
    10 minutes (1.5 km) from Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration Checkpoint

    Start your exploration in Central Danok by visiting the Wat Phachoeng temple. The blue and white temple features intricate carvings and paintings that you can admire before taking a walk to Kim Yong market, the busiest and most popular market in the area where you can find various goods and foods. Want to relax? Head to the Chan Phaeng park to laze around, get some local snacks, or see the various animals such as monkeys, sea turtles, birds, and a mini zoo of goats and fish.

  2. Day 2: Exploring Local Attractions in Danok
    10 minutes (4.2 km) from Central Danok

    Begin your day with some local delicacies from Siam Taste restaurant before heading to the CRC World Mini Zoo and Aquarium. Experience the animal exhibits and explore the aquarium where you can see the sharks swimming overhead through the tunnel. Then, move on to visit Kim Yong Market which is famous for a wide range of goods and souvenirs, including local specialties like Congee, Satay, and Nasi Lemak. As the day ends, relax with some live music in Old West Music Town.

  3. Day 3: Around Danok Border Area
    15 minutes (10 km) from Downtown Danok

    On your final day, roam around the border area and visit Gua Kelam Recreational Park which offers a stunning view of the limestone cave system. Then, head to the Pasar Simpang to do some shopping, indulge in local food, and watch the locals in their daily routines. On your way back, make a stop at the Night Market located near the southern border which has a variety of local delicacies, clothes, souvenirs and entertainments.
