This day is dedicated to exploring the natural wonders of the Yana Caves, located in the middle of the lush green forests. These caves are famous for their unique rock formations, the limestone structures shaped like a Shivlinga and other carvings. The trek to the Yana Caves involves a beautiful 3.5 km route through the dense rainforest and the Waatehalli waterfall. This place offers a perfect blend of nature’s beauty with spirituality.
On your last day, head to the Gokarna Beach, a serene and scenic location. This beach is less crowded and provides relaxation with the sound of the waves hitting the shore in the backdrop. Also, explore the hidden coves and nearby beaches, as well as the famous Gokarna Temple, also known as Mahabaleshwar temple. If you have more time, visit the famous Jog Falls situated at a 2-hour drive from Murudeshwar. Alternatively, if you have less time, remove the Yana Caves trek, or reduce your time spent at Gokarna Beach. The best time to visit Murudeshwar is between October to March, as the weather is pleasant and suitable for water activities.
