The Ooty Botanical Gardens has over a thousand species of plants, both exotic and indigenous. The garden also houses an Italian-style garden, a serene Japanese garden, and a fossil tree trunk that is believed to be 20 million years old.
At 2,637 meters, Doddabetta Peak is the highest peak in the Nilgiri Hills and one of the best vantage points in Ooty. The view from the peak overlooks the surrounding forests and plains.
Kodaikanal lake is a manmade lake surrounded by beautiful hills and is also the central attraction of Kodaikanal. You can either walk around the lake or take a boat ride and enjoy the scenic beauty of the hills.
Coakers Walk is an iconic pedestrian path laid out on the edge of steep slopes on the southern side of Kodaikanal. The walk provides stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
If you have more time, you can visit the Tea Museum in Ooty or the Pillar Rocks in Kodaikanal. For those with less time, you can skip either Doddabetta Peak or Coakers Walk. Remember to check the opening and closing times of the attractions to help plan your itinerary efficiently.
