Family-Friendly 6-Day Itinerary for Munar

  1. Day 1: Tea Museum and Mattupetty Dam

    The Kolukkumalai Tea Estate offers a unique experience for families by showing them the process of tea-making. If you have time, you can also trek to the top of the Anamudi Peak - the highest peak in South India. The trek is not recommended for children and takes around 5 hours.

  5. Day 5: Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and Lakkom Waterfalls

    The Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its rare wildlife - spotted deer, Elephants,etc. Have a picnic in the park and enjoy the scenery. Later, drive to the beautiful Lakkom Waterfalls, which is a great spot to cool off after a long day.

  6. Day 6: Attukad Waterfalls and Rose Garden
    20 minutes (9 km) from Munnar town

    Start the day with the impressive Attukad Waterfalls, which is surrounded by lush green vegetation and streams. Next, visit the Rose Garden to see the colourful and fragrant flowers. Kids especially love it here as they get to spot lots of butterflies and insects.
