Start your day with a visit to Robber's Cave, also known as Gucchupani. It's a naturally formed cave that is 600 meters long. It has an enchanting waterfall and a river that runs through it. Visitors can trek uphill for around 10 minutes from the cave to reach the highest peak of the region. The whole experience is mystic and very refreshing.
Kempty falls is a cascading waterfall located in Mussoorie. It is a very popular destination for tourists and localities. There are two options to reach the waterfall: the normal bus route and a chair lift. Once you reach there, you can swim, splash and dip in the chilly water. Kempty Falls provides a perfect environment for picnics, view points, and trekking activities.
Mussoorie Mall Road is a prime location in Mussoorie. It is a street filled with a vast variety of shops selling everything from handicrafts, souvenirs, books to woollen clothes. The place is a heaven for street food lovers and coffee enthusiasts. Some of the recommended food items are momos, chaat, aloo tikki, and coffee at Cafe Coffee Day. It is a great place to spend the afternoon shopping, browsing, and just walking around.
Gun Hill is a beautiful place to witness the entire Mussoorie from a height of 2024 meters. Visitors can trek up to the hill or use the cable car. Once at the top, enjoy the light snacks in the stalls, plus ice cream, and local cuisine. The sunset view from Gun Hill is amazing, and it is one of the things one shouldn't miss.
Mussoorie Lake is a pretty artificial lake created by a dam. It provides a tranquil environment with a spectacular view of the hills. You can enjoy some time rowing and boating on the lake, feeding ducks while sitting in the lakeside restaurant. It also has a playground for children to have some fun.
If you have more time, you may like to visit Camel Back Road, Clouds End, or Lal Tibba. For people with lesser time, they could give Mussoorie Mall Road a miss. The best time to visit is from March to November. Do check the weather before you leave, and don't forget to carry a comfortable pair of sneakers, your camera, sunglasses, and an umbrella.
