In the evening, head to the Ardhkuwari Temple, located halfway to the Vaishnodevi shrine. It is said that Mata Vaishno Devi meditated here for nine months.

Sunday, August 20: Vaishnodevi Shrine

Today is the day to embark on the pilgrimage to Vaishnodevi shrine. Start early in the morning and trek towards the holy shrine, which is located at an altitude of 5,200 feet. The 13-kilometer uphill journey is challenging but spiritually rewarding. Along the way, you will pass through several picturesque locations, including Banganga, Charan Paduka, and Adhkuwari. After reaching the shrine, seek blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi and spend some peaceful moments in prayer. Descend back to Katra in the evening.

Monday, August 21: Shivkhori & Bhairavnath Temple

On the third day of your itinerary, visit the famous Shivkhori cave temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located around 75 kilometers from Katra. Explore the magnificent natural cave and witness the awe-inspiring stalagmite formation representing Lord Shiva's lingam. Afterward, proceed to the Bhairavnath Temple, dedicated to Bhairavnath, who is believed to be the protector of Mata Vaishno Devi. Seek blessings at both temples and return to Katra in the evening.

Tuesday, August 22: Departure

It's time to bid farewell to the holy land of Katra. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for your onward journey. Take with you the blessings and memories of this spiritual journey.
