Start your day by visiting some of the animal shelters located around the city, such as the International Animal Rescue, and lend a helping hand by volunteering to care for these animals. You'll get to learn about their stories and participate in activities such as feeding, bathing and playing with them. Animals lovers will definitely enjoy this experience.
Head over to the Goa Foundation society and spend your day contributing to the environment by participating in their conservation workshops and gaining knowledge about sustainable living. Learn how to reduce carbon emissions, conserve energy and water and techniques to recycle and minimise waste disposal. You will be making a big difference to the environment and learn how to reduce your own ecological footprint while enjoying a fun-filled day.
Participate in a community service project located at an NGO, such as the Rotary Club of Goa, which caters to helping the underprivileged children of the state and make a significant impact towards the cause. Activities include teaching, sports programs, health awareness campaigns and more. You'll get to meet locals and interact with people from diverse backgrounds while also making a positive contribution to society.
If you have more time, you could visit the Dudhsagar Falls and participate in the clean-up drive program conducted there. Do carry a water bottle, comfortable clothes and shoes and apply sunscreen to avoid sunburn.
If you have less time, you could skip the Environmental Conservation Workshops on Day 2, and indulge in some adventure activities such as trekking, kayaking or bungee jumping.
