Start your first day with a thrilling experience at Wonderla Amusement park, one of the largest and most popular amusement parks in India. It features over 50 rides and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and a musical fountain. For younger children, there is a dedicated play area filled with age-appropriate rides and activities. The park also offers plenty of dining options, including Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisine, and souvenir shops to take home some mementos. The park is open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekends.
On day 2, head out to Athirapally Waterfalls, also known as the "Niagara of India." The falls are a scenic sight to behold, cascading over 80 feet into the Chalakudy River. You can explore the surrounding lush forests and take a dip in the refreshing natural pool at the base of the falls. If you're lucky, you might even spot some wildlife like the endangered Lion-tailed Macaque. The falls are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.
If you have more time, you can also visit other popular tourist spots in Kochi like the Fort Kochi beach or the Chinese Fishing Nets. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can skip Athirapally Falls and opt for a day trip to Cherai Beach instead. Make sure to check the opening and closing times of all attractions before heading out.
