Take a thrilling excursion to Rishikesh, known as the "Yoga Capital of the World". Enjoy an adventurous River Rafting session on River Ganges and experience the adrenaline rush. After you have your adrenaline fix, enjoy the serene environs of the yoga capital as you explore various local cafes and restaurants to relish delicacies of the town.
Start from Rishikesh towards Kedarnath Helipad or Gaurikund to trek on foot towards the Kedarnath temple. The scenic beauty of the Kedarnath trek is unparalleled and sets a fitting tone for the ones willing to be amidst pure wilderness. Stay at Kedarnath for overnight warmth and comfort at rooms where basic amenities are available.
You can choose either the following options to give an essence of Kedarnath in Day 4:
Head out to visit the famous Kedarnath Temple, one of the char dhams. Post temple darshan, take a dip at the holy Gaurikund hot water spring, a divine and healing experience.
Explore the beauty of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, become one with nature, and spot rarest Himalayan species like black bears, snow leopards, and musk deer. An adventurous Jeep Safari awaits you.
If you have more time, you can plan a trip to Badrinath, Valley of Flowers, or take a dip in Panch Prayag. If you have less time, you can exclude Kedarnath Trek or Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. It is best to avoid the monsoon season in Rishikesh as the river rafting is closed for safety reasons. Also, remember to carry necessary medicines and comfortable walking shoes for the trek.
