Explore the Silent Valley National Park, a magnificent and silent park surrounded by lush greenery and waterfalls. Take a guided trekking tour with a forest guide to see a variety of flora and fauna, including the lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri langur, and the Malabar giant squirrel. After the hike, head to the Siruvani Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region, to relax and rejuvenate.
Start your day with a visit to the Malabar Wildlife Sanctuary, a beautiful sanctuary filled with exotic birds, reptiles, and mammals. Take a jeep safari through the sanctuary and keep your eyes peeled for the elusive leopard. Next, head to the Kollengode Palace, a magnificent palace located on the western slopes of the Western Ghats. Check out the intricate wood carvings and architecture of this stunning palace before heading back to your accommodation.
If you have additional time, consider visiting the Tipu Sultan Fort and Heritage Museum in Palakkad. If you have less time, you can skip the Malabar Wildlife Sanctuary and head straight to Kollengode Palace. Keep in mind that the Silent Valley National Park is closed on Mondays and the Malabar Wildlife Sanctuary is closed on Tuesdays.
