The Big Buddha Temple, also known as Wat Phra Yai, is a 12-meter tall seated Buddha statue located on a small island connected to Koh Samui. Na Muang Waterfall is actually two waterfalls located in the heart of Koh Samui's jungle. Both waterfalls offer refreshing swimming opportunities and picturesque surroundings. Visitors can also take elephant rides through the jungle or zip-line over the falls.
Chaweng Beach is the most popular and developed beach on Koh Samui. The beach is over 7 kilometers long and offers plenty of activities such as jet skiing and parasailing. There are also several beachfront bars and restaurants to enjoy a relaxing evening.
The Ang Thong National Marine Park is an archipelago consisting of 42 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Visitors can explore the park's caves, lagoons, and beaches. The park is also home to a diverse range of wildlife such as monkeys, sea turtles, and iguanas. Visitors can take a guided tour or rent a kayak to explore on their own.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Fisherman's Village in Bophut or the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks in Lamai. For a more cultural experience, visit the Wat Plai Laem temple or attend a Muay Thai fight at the Chaweng boxing stadium. If you have less time, skip the Ang Thong National Marine Park and instead visit the nearby Koh Tao for some excellent snorkeling.
