Two-Day Adventure Itinerary for Mount Abu

  1. Day 1: Trekking to Achalgarh Fort

    Begin your adventure with a trek to Achalgarh Fort, located on a hilltop and surrounded by lush greenery. The fort dates back to the 14th century and offers stunning panoramic views of Mount Abu. It's about a 2.5 km walk from the parking area to the fort entrance, with a moderate to difficult trek uphill. Once at the fort, explore the temples and ruins within. Don't miss the highlight here, the massive statue of Nandi. The trek can take around 4-5 hours, so it's recommended to start early in the morning.

  2. Day 1: Nature Trails at Wildlife Sanctuary
    30 minutes (13 km) from Achalgarh Fort

    Continue your adventure in the great outdoors with a visit to the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including Indian leopard, sloth bear, and sambar deer. Take a stroll on the nature trails within the sanctuary, you can easily spot some wildlife. Apart from this, you can also do birdwatching, spot the wide range of migratory birds. It's recommended to take a local guide/expert to have genuine insight. If you are planning this during summer, it's advised to take water and light snacks with you.

  3. Day 2: Rock Climbing at Honeymoon Point
    15 minutes (5 km) from Nakki Lake

    Ready for some adrenaline rush? Head to Honeymoon Point, also called Anadara Point, is a popular rock climbing spot in Mount Abu. It gives thrilling heights and breathtaking views and also the opportunity for some top-notch photography. You will have an instructor and the required safety gear provided. Since the climb includes navigating jagged rockfaces be well prepared with comfortable shoes and necessary safety measures.

  4. Day 2: Zip-lining at Toad Rock
    10 minutes (3 km) from Honeymoon Point

    Finish your adventure by soaring through the air with a zip-lining experience over the stunning Toad Rock. This is a new addition in Mount Abu, which gives you an exhilarating experience of sailing through the air and enjoying the spectacular scenery. It won't take more than an hour to enjoy this activity. The minimum age requirement to participate is 8 years and a minimum weight limit is approximately 20 kg.

For those with more time, make sure to visit Nakki Lake and do some boating, visit Guru Shikhar peak for a beautiful sunrise, take the Toad Rock trail for a serene walk amidst natural rock formations. However, if you have less time, skip the Toad Rock zip-line and replace it with a visit to Brahma Kumari's Global University, which is also worth visiting. Also, being cautious of monkeys is essential, so don't carry food, and keep your belongings safe.
