The complex also features a light and sound show in the evening.
Visit the Akshardham Temple, the world's largest comprehensive Hindu temple. The temple complex features an extensive library, exhibitions, musical fountains, and gardens. Witness the stunning architecture and take a boat ride showing India's Vedic heritage in the evening. However, the temple is open from Tuesday to Sunday, so plan accordingly.
Visit Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret globally, standing at 72 meters. The Qutub complex includes the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Iron Pillar of Delhi, and Alai Darwaza. Explore the intricate carvings and architecture of the historical site, commissioned in 1199 by Delhi's first Muslim ruler, Qutub-ud-din Aibak. However, It is closed on Mondays.
Spend the day at Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary, sprawling over 2073 square meters. The sanctuary features several endangered species, including tigers, leopard, crocodile, and Siberian birds. Take a jungle safari and witness the flora-fauna in their natural habitat. If you have an extra day, consider visiting the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal located 4-hours from Hastinapur.
If you have more time, add a day trip to Mathura, located a 4-hour drive from Delhi, known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. If you have less time, skip the Qutub Minar and spend more time shopping at Chandni Chowk or Hauz Khas Village. Wear comfortable shoes and carry sunscreen and plenty of water. Avoid visiting Delhi in Summer, from April to June, as it gets scorching hot.
