Abbey Falls, located in the Western Ghats, is a stunning waterfall that cascades down from a height of 70 feet. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and is a great place for nature lovers to visit. You can take a refreshing dip in the pool at the bottom of the falls. Close to the falls, there are several spice and coffee plantations which you can visit and learn about the local produce.
Raja's Seat is a beautiful garden with a breathtaking view of the hills. It was once the favourite spot of the kings of Coorg who used to come here to enjoy the sunset. Take a stroll around the garden or enjoy a cup of tea while watching the scenic sunset. You can also explore the nearby Madikeri Fort to learn about the history of Coorg.
Dubare Elephant Camp is a unique experience where you can see elephants up close and learn about their behaviour. You can also take an elephant ride through the forest and learn how to feed and bathe them. The camp is set on the banks of River Cauvery and you can go for a refreshing dip in the river as well.
Coorg Golf Links is a scenic golf course that is located close to the forest. It offers an 18-hole course with challenging slopes and stunning views. If you're not into golfing, you can still enjoy the serene beauty of the place and indulge in some delicious local cuisine.
If you have more time, you can also visit Talacauvery, which is the source of River Cauvery and is located around 50 km from the resort. You can also explore the scenic coffee plantations and try some local delicacies. If you have less time, you can skip Raja's Seat and spend some extra time at Abbey Falls or Dubare Elephant Camp. Also, make sure to carry a change of clothes, sunscreen and insect repellent for the outdoor activities.
