Start your day with an invigorating trek at the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek takes around 3-4 hours to complete and showcases mesmerizing views of the valley and lake from the top.
Spend the afternoon on a drive to Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a diverse range of animals and birds. You can spot elephants, deer, tigers, and many other species on a safari ride through the sanctuary.
End your day exploring the prehistoric wonders at Edakkal Caves. These caves have ancient stone carvings that date back to around 6000 BC. The climb to the caves takes around an hour and is worth every effort.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam or the Soochipara Waterfalls to your itinerary. If you have less time, you can skip the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary or Edakkal Caves. Don't forget to carry water bottles, snacks, and sunscreen throughout the day.
