The museum provides an excellent insight into the traditional and cultural skills of local artisans from South India. If you have additional time, either opt for a visit to the Botanical Garden or Sri Gokilambal Thirukameswar Temple, both historically significant and well known for their beauty. If you have more time and money, try to go for a French heritage walk or take a pottery class in Auroville.
If you have less time, you can skip visiting either Aurobindo Ashram or Matrimandir however, it is highly recommended to explore the French Colony as it is considered the heart of Pondicherry.
