Jibhi: A 3-Day Nature Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Serolsar Lake Trek

    Begin your trip with a serene trek to the Serolsar Lake, which is located amidst the lush green landscapes of the Great Himalayan National Park.     Drive up to the Jalori Pass located at an altitude of 10,800 feet. The 5 km trail leads you through verdant meadows dotted with wildflowers and along gushing streams that come down from the mountains. The pass offers panoramic views of the Kullu and Tirthan valleys along with the mountains of Kinnaur. Next, visit the ancient Chehni Kothi tower that is over 1,500 years old and also the tallest structure in the Western Himalayas. The 6-7 storeyed wooden tower has beautiful carvings and offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region.

  3. Day 3: Shringa Rishi Temple and Chaini Village
    1 hour (9.4 miles) from Jibhi Village

    Visit the Shringa Rishi Temple in Bagipul, which is dedicated to the saint and a local deity worshipped by the people of the region. The temple is built in the traditional style of Himachali architecture that has intricate wood carvings and stone sculptures. Next, head to the nearby Chaini village, which is known for its unique architecture that has slate roofs and wooden balconies. The village also has an ancient 400-year old fort-like structure called the Chaini Kothi that was used to defend against the marauding invaders.
