Begin your first day of volunteering by visiting the Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple. You can take part in various activities such as distributing food, cleaning the temple premises, and assisting the pilgrims. The temple is known for its unique rituals and attracts millions of devotees every year. It is situated on a hilltop, surrounded by dense forests, and offers a panoramic view of the Western Ghats.
Spend your second day volunteering at the Periyar National Park. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts where you can assist in maintaining the park premises, keeping the trails clean, and various other activities. You can also take an eco-tourism boat ride, which offers an excellent chance to spot some rare species such as tigers, elephants, and leopards. The park also offers various safari tours, Bamboo rafting, and nature walks.
If you have more time, you can explore nearby attractions such as the Thiruvalla Sri Vallabha Temple and Pandalam Palace. However, if you have less time, you can skip Periyar National Park and spend an extra day volunteering at Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple.
