Start your day off with an adventurous trek through the Kudremukh National Park. A haven for trekkers, the park offers stunning vistas of mountains, waterfalls and lush vegetation. The highlight of the trek is the peak of Kudremukh, which stands at an impressive 1,894m above sea level. The trek is moderate to difficult and requires a guide and permission from the forest department. Don't forget to carry adequate water, snacks, and rain gear.
Start your day with a visit to the Hanumanagundi Falls, also known as Suthanabbe Falls, which is a popular picnic spot. The 22-meter high waterfall cascades into a natural pool, where you can take a dip and cool off after your hike. Next up, head over to the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected area and a Project Tiger Reserve, where you can spot elephants, tigers, leopards, deer, and other wildlife. A jeep safari is the best way to explore the sanctuary. You can also go boating on the Bhadra reservoir.
If you have more time, you can explore nearby attractions like the Kalaseshwara Temple and the Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple. If you have less time, skip the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary and head straight to Hanumanagundi Falls. Remember to carry a camera to capture the beautiful scenery. Plan your visit during the monsoon season (June to September) to witness the waterfalls in full glory.
