    Head over to the Edakkal Caves, a fascinating prehistoric site that contains ancient inscriptions that date back to 6000 BCE. The hike to the caves takes around an hour and rewards you with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. Inside the caves, you'll see rock engravings, some of which are thousands of years old.
