Bear Shola Falls is a picturesque waterfall situated 3km away from the Kodaikanal Bus Stand. The falls come cascading down from a height of 40 feet, giving a beautiful view, especially in the monsoon season. It is believed that bears come to this waterfall to drink water, hence the name Bear Shola. A small park surrounding the falls provides a peaceful atmosphere for tourists to relax.
Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake, is a prominent man-made lake in Kodaikanal. The lake offers boat rides, horse rides, and cycling activities for tourists. Surrounded by hills, lush greenery, and trees, the lake is a serene and beautiful spot ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Coaker's Walk is a narrow pedestrian path that runs along the edge of steep slopes on the southern side of Kodaikanal. The walkway provides a panoramic view of the hills, valleys, and forests. If you have more time, you can visit Bryant Park, Pillar Rocks, and Guna Cave. However, if you have less time, you can skip Coaker's Walk or Kodaikanal Lake. A sunrise at Dolphin's Nose and a hike to Vattakanal Falls or Green Valley View Point are several activities to add. Don't forget to carry insect repellent when visiting waterfalls to avoid mosquito bites.
