Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is a tiger reserve and home to various species of fauna including the Indian bison, leopards, black panthers, elephants, and more than 300 species of birds. Visitors can take a trek inside the sanctuary with a guide to spot wildlife or enjoy a coracle ride on the Kali river.
Syntheri Rocks are massive limestone formations located in the middle of the dense forest. Visitors can trek for 2km through the forest to reach the rock formation and enjoy the beautiful views of the waterfall. Visitors can also enjoy rappelling activities with help of trained professionals which are situated near the rocks.
The Kavala Caves are a network of natural limestone caves with a depth of over 375 feet. Visitors can climb down a flight of around 350 steps to reach the caves and enjoy the natural stalactite and stalagmite formations inside. It is important to note that the last entry is allowed only up to 5.00 pm
Kulgi Nature Camp is located deep in the Dandeli forests and offers a unique camping and trekking experience. Visitors can camp in the tents set up by the forest department and enjoy a trek through the forest with a guide. Also, the place offers various indoor and outdoor activities including river crossing, bird watching, or cycling around the campsite.
If you have more time, you can visit other attractions within Dandeli, such as the Supa Dam, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and greenery, or the Ulavi temple. Additionally, if you have less time, it is advisable to skip the Kulgi Nature Camp and spend more time exploring the other attractions.
