Start your Goa vacation by immersing yourself in the peaceful and serene surroundings of Agonda Beach. Relish the beauty of the beach, azure water and scenic surroundings. Bask in the tropical sun, read books in solitude, or just feel the calming sea breeze on your skin. If you want to move a little bit, hike to the nearby hills- allowing you to indulge in bird watching and indulging in serene vistas of the coastline. While here, do not forget to sample some Goan delicacies.
After a relaxing day on the beach, it’s time for a little adventure at the Dudhsagar waterfalls. Located at the border between Goa and Karnataka, the waterfall is a true natural wonder with its four tiers and white milky water unfurling at a height of 310 meters. During the monsoon season, the falls are particularly striking, so take a refreshing dip in their natural reservoirs if you can. Hiking to the falls is enjoyable, but note that there are occasional trains that run through the large pond at the bottom of the falls, creating a dramatic scene worth seeing.
After a day of adventure, spend your last day leisurely at Candolim Beach. Soak up the rays, or take a dip in the sparkling turquoise water, on this palm-lined strip of sand. Lined with restaurants having a view of the sea, you can grab a bite of fresh seafood while experiencing the rustic charm of Goa. Do visit the sparkling Fort Aguada on the northwest side of the beach, for some great photo opportunities.
If you have a few extra days in Goa and are keen on a little more adventure, visit the beaches to the north of Goa – Baga, Calangute, and Anjuna. If you have a few less days, either skip Dudhsagar Falls or just make it a half-day trip to Candolim Beach. Also, do not forget to check the weather conditions before planning your itinerary.
