The temple is known for its intricate architectural design that depicts mythological stories and consists of elaborate wood carvings on its walls.

  3. Day 3: Gaurikund
    50 minutes (16km) from Bhairav Nath Temple

    Gaurikund is a popular spot among tourists and is located on the way to Kedarnath Temple. It is a picturesque place that is famous for its hot water springs. According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Parvati used to take a bath in these hot water springs to please Lord Shiva. Tourists visiting Gaurikund can take a dip in these hot water springs which is considered to be auspicious.

If you have more time, you can visit the Vasuki Tal Lake that is located about 9km from Kedarnath. Another place worthy of visiting is Triyuginarayan Temple which is 25 km from Kedarnath Temple, this temple is famous for the eternal flame which is said to have been burning since the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. If you have less time, you can skip visiting the Bhairav Nath Temple and head straight to Gaurikund. Also, be sure to carry enough warm clothes and comfortable shoes as Kedarnath is located at an altitude of 3,583m, and the weather can get chilly.
