Start the day with a serene sunrise at Shanti Stupa. This Buddhist white-domed stupa offers panoramic city views and peace.
Visit one of the largest Gompa in Leh, Thiksey Monastery. Built-in the 15th century, it houses a two-story statue of Maitreya Buddha made of clay, twelve stories high.
Visit the wealthiest Gompa, Hemis Monastery, founded in the 1630s. It has an exquisite collection of ancient relics, including rare Buddhist scriptures.
Experience authentic Tibetan cuisine and teas at a cozy spot, the Tibetan Kitchen Restaurant. This restaurant provides simple, home-style cooking with authentic Tibetan dishes.
Visit Leh Palace, a former royal palace built-in the 17th century that spells grandeur, history, and architecture. The palace overlooks the Leh city, Stok Kangri, and Ladakh mountain ranges.
Stroll along the bustling Changspa Road, filled with unique shops and eateries. Spend some time souvenir shopping, sipping coffee or simply relaxing and enjoying the vibe of Leh.
If you have more time, add a visit to Shey Palace and Stok Monastery. You can also add an adventure activity like river rafting. If time is limited, remove Hemis Monastery, which is far from the city center, and Changspa Road.
