Anjuna Beach is famous for its unique rock formations and picturesque sunset views. Witness the weekly flea market held here and grab some souvenirs. Enjoy a swim in the sea or a relaxing beach walk with comfortable sand. You can find several shacks serving seafood, snacks and drinks.
Visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which translates to "Sea of Milk," is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. The view of the falls is spectacular, surrounded by lush green forest and clear water pools. Enjoy a relaxing swim in the natural pools or take a jeep safari ride. It is advisable to visit during weekdays to avoid crowd and always carry your own food and water.
One of the most famous landmarks in Goa is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica Bom Jesus. This 16th-century church is an excellent example of Baroque architecture in India. It hosts the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier and is famous for its richly gilded altars. The museum inside the church houses valuable artefacts. Always dress modestly when visiting churches and cover your head if required.
If you have more time, explore the old Latin quarter of Fontainhas in Panjim. Enjoy some traditional Portuguese architecture, houses painted in vibrant hues, cosy cafes and multi-cuisine restaurants. Alternatively, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary to spot some exotic birds. If you have less time, you may skip Dudhsagar Waterfalls and visit the Aguada Fort instead.
