Begin your journey in Fort Kochi, a historical town that is home to some of the oldest European architecture in India. Take a stroll through Jew Town, admire the Chinese Fishing Nets, and end your day with a traditional Kathakali dance performance.
Today's destination is Munnar, a hill station located 5,200 feet above sea level. Stop at the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls on your way and enjoy the picturesque views of the lush green tea plantations. Upon arrival in Munnar, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history and process of tea-making, and then go trekking through the Annamalai hills for a stunning panoramic view of the valley.
Spend the final day in Kerala relaxing and basking in the sun at Varkala Beach. Afterward, head to the nearby backwaters of Alleppey and take a scenic boat ride, enjoying the serene waters and lush landscapes that Kerala has to offer. End the day with some mouth-watering seafood at the famous Alleppey Beach Restaurant.
If you have more time, consider taking a detour to Wayanad for its wildlife and trekking opportunities, or to Kovalam for its famous beaches. If you have less time, skip visiting Alleppey backwaters and Alleppey Beach Restaurant, and instead explore some of the lesser-known beaches near Fort Kochi such as Cherai Beach or Chilavannoor Lake.
