Brasov is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and charming old town. Take a walking tour to explore the Black Church, the largest Gothic church in Eastern Europe, and the Republicii Street with its narrow medieval houses. Don't miss out on the panoramic views of Brasov from the top of Mt. Tampa.
Ride one of the most scenic roads in the world, Transfagarasan Highway, which crosses the Carpathian Mountains and reaches a maximum altitude of 2042m. Stop at Balea Lake for breathtaking views and a cup of tea in the mountains. The road is only open between June and September, so plan accordingly.
Spend the day exploring the fortified city of Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration behind Dracula. The Citadel is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it's well known for its Clock Tower, Vlad's House and the Church on the Hill. Take your time to wander through the cobblestone streets and admire the colorful houses.
End your motorcycle journey with a peaceful boat ride in the Danube Delta, the second largest river delta in Europe. The Delta hosts a variety of flora and fauna, including many rare species like pelicans, storks, and otters. Take the opportunity to observe the local fishermen, taste a fresh fish dish or learn more about the wildlife at the Delta Museum.
If you have more time, don't miss out on the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina, the medieval castle of Hunedoara or the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta. If you have less time, consider skipping Sighisoara Citadel and dividing your time between the other destinations.
