Start your trip with a visit to Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek to the top is moderate and provides breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. The peak is surrounded by lush green forests and a stroll through the tea gardens nearby is a must-do activity. Don't forget to stop by the Shiva temple on the way to the top. The peak is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Take a dip in the natural pools at Hebbe Falls, located inside the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. The water cascades from a height of over 550 feet, making it one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the region. The sanctuary is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including elephants and leopards. Keep in mind that the falls is closed during the monsoon season.
End your trip with a visit to the Kudremukh National Park, known for its scenic beauty and diverse wildlife. The park offers a range of activities, including camping, trekking, and bird watching. Take a guided jeep safari through the park to spot animals like tigers and jackals. Keep in mind that the park is closed on Mondays.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the Baba Budangiri Hills or the Belur and Halebidu temples. If you have less time, skip Hebbe Falls and spend more time at Mullayanagiri Peak. Remember to carry comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water.
