The Kavala Caves are home to many exotic species of bats. After experiencing the cool caves filled with shadows, the Syntheri rocks nearby provide excellent panoramic views. Kayaking along the Kali River is a must for travelers visiting Dandeli. The activity lasts two hours and a half with experienced guides providing all the necessary equipment and safety protocol. During the activity, it's possible to glimpse fauna like crocodiles, otters, and various fish species. For Thrill-seekers, the rapid stretches of the river are adventurous. The river is also surrounded by lush vegetation, adding to the serene atmosphere of the activity.
If travelers have extra time, they can also visit Ulavi Temple, located deep inside the forest. It is a 50km journey from Dandeli and is a holy site of the Veerashaiva faith. On the other hand, Dandeli is also famous for its white water rafting. The activity is limited to monsoon season, but it is enjoyable. Travelers should consider extending their trip to try this activity. One can also visit the Tribal museum to learn about the communities that call Dandeli home. If the schedule is tighter, one of Day 2's points of interest can be removed.
