Kashmir Winter Honeymoon on a Budget

  3. Day 3: Pahalgam

  4. Day 4: Chandanwari to Betaab Valley

    Visit the film location for the 1983 Bollywood movie Betaab. It got its name from the movie. Treat yourselves to a picnic on the picturesque slopes. Also, visit Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, visit the beautiful Gurez valley, also known as the 'wakhan corridor of Kashmir'. You can also try ice-skating in Gulmarg. If you have a shorter timeframe, consider skipping one of the destinations and spending more time exploring nearby areas. Keep in mind that temperatures can drop below freezing in December, so dress accordingly and prepare for limited daylight hours. Pack gloves, woollens and a warm jacket. Most attractions close early around 4 PM.
