Fontainhas is an old Latin Quarter in Panaji, the capital of Goa. The area has narrow lanes with old Portuguese style houses painted in bright colours. The place is perfect for a romantic stroll before heading to Viva Panjim for dinner, where you can try Goan delicacies.
If you have more time, you can visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Mangeshi Temple, or Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. For less time, skip Dudhsagar Falls and explore Old Goa instead. Make sure to carry sunscreen, shades, and beachwear. Avoid visiting during the monsoon season (June to September) when most of the waterfalls and beaches are closed.
